A few layouts

I am cleaning up the mounds of stuff in my studio today and forgot I had a few new layouts of Tyler I was able to get done on our Mt. trip. I am working on using up my supplies I have had for more years than I want to count and plan on doing a use it up or put it out challenge in January, I don't know about you guys but I have way more pattern paper than I will ever be able to use up and I love to buy the latest and greatest so as soon as the holiday's are over I plan on getting busy with what I have on hand so I really do have room for all the new goodies CTMH will be putting out in Jan. As you can tell Tyler is a big Dale Jr. fan, so funny we all love Dale so maybe he has heard us cheering dale on and picked up from that. Lucky for me my LSS has tons of NASCAR supplies so I have plenty to pick from when I work on our race pictures. Need NASCAR supplies? Check out Scrap Shack http://www.scrapshacknc.com/, the ladies can hook you up!!

Turkey Time

Have been super busy with family this past week so I have been a very bad blogger! We went to The Southern Christmas show on Friday and ran into this jewel of a Turkey!! I just love him, had a hard time finding a pumpkin to get him put together but we got lucky at one of our local farmers markets. Bob has decided he wants to make more of our Mr. Turkey but as always that means more tools for him, I really have no room to complain about the purchase of tools if you know what I mean!! So maybe next year we will have lots of metal Turkeys to share!! It is hard to see but Mr Turkey has wings on each side as well as tail feathers

Love Always

I wasn't crazy about the Valentine card I created for the Operation Write Home blog hop so I gave it another try. I like this one much better, This card is so economical to make!! only takes a 1 1/2 inch piece of pattern paper, all the rest is cardstock. The background is a blank card I embossed with a cuttlebug folder, then used a Sorbet marker to color the dots, wide band around the card is Sorbet cardstock cut with EK border punch, small band is a piece of pattern paper from Perfect Day level 2 kit, I added liquid Glass to each of the dots on this paper to give it a bling look without the glitter, used Love Always stamp set for the sentiment and a little flower soft around the edges, also added Liquid glass to the heart. I can whip this easy and cost effective card out in a flash so I can create lots for the next box of cards to send to our troops.

Thanks for stopping by and supporting our troops, please take some time to check out Operation Write Home, you will be inspired and touched by the great deeds this organization is preforming for our Hero's http://operationwritehome.org/

Now on to the Hop, we were challenged to create a card for Valentine's day to send to one of our fighting men or woman, our family is still on our annual Cabin retreat so I had to make due with what I had on hand, I will come up with a little something different next week when we get home.

Recipe for this card is at the end of the post, also look back on Veterans day to see a sample of all the cards we created to send to Operation Write Home. The first person to comment on this post and e-mail me a photo of a card you will be sending to Operation write home will receive a FREE Celebrate Everyday Card Kit!

Now hop on over to Jillian's site http://www.welcometojillville.blogspot.com/ and check out her great art work, if you get lost on your journey you can head back to http://operationwritehome.org/ and find your way back, ENJOY

Card created with;
Perfect Day level 2 paper pack
Love Always stamp set D1337
Liquid Glass z679
Just Blooms, Big Pinks z1033
EK punch
New brad maker, sorry I forgot the name of it, I will post later!! LOVE this thing

Cozy cabin

We made it to the cabin yesterday, with I 40 shut down we had to go back roads which were really pretty but alas, Tyler got car sick, forgot what that was like!! I don't miss the old days when at least one of the girls would get sick! Ha, Papaw and I did OK for old timers but he will be traveling home with Mom and Dad.
The cabin is great, the kids and Bob are lovin the media room, I love the peace an quite it gives me, the weather is perfect and as always we are eating way more than we should. Made our annual trip to The Christmas Place and stimulated the economy plenty, also had Tyler's picture with Santa and of course stopped in at A&W for a frosty root beer.
I am going to post for the Operation Write Home tonight, the hop should be live Saturday by noon but I am not sure we will be around Internet access at that time so I am setting mine up tonight while we are in town, have no service on the Mt

One more

It is a toss up as to what is my favorite card, love this one but the polar bears are soooo cute. Wanted to be clear on the cards that we are sending, there is NO glitter!! we put a little bling on a few but glitter is a big no no!! We made 20 or more of each of the cards I have posted, made cutting out and assembling so much faster.

Yepee!! Check out our cards

Had a wonderful Veterans Day with a free card crop, all cards are being donated to our Troops to keep in touch with loved ones back home, over 150 cards will be going in the mail, I have an additional set I will be working on this weekend before I ship them out. Have lots of photo's to share so here you go. One last thing I will be participating in a card hop for Operation Write Home on the Saturday the 14th, this will be my first blog hop so I hope I don't mess it up!!

Cards for Hero's

Happy Veterans Day, please take a little time out of your day to think of the brave Men and Women who are serving our country, because of their service many of you have a day off work to do errands, hit the Veterans Day sale or maybe just get caught up around the house, without the service of these brave men and women we wouldn't have the freedoms to decide how to spend our day today.
I will be hosting a Cards for Hero's crop today, we will be making greeting cards to send to our troops so they have a little something to send home to their own families for Birthdays, Anniversary, Thank you or just thinking of you. Why not call a few friends and spend the afternoon using your scraps to make cards for this worthy cause? Get the kids around the table to help out.
I will post a sample of the cards we created later today, the first person to send me an e-mail of a card they will be donating will win a CTMH Celebrate the Everyday card kit!
Check out the link below to get more information on this great program and please honor a Hero today!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!

Looks like we have a new baby on the way!!!!

Here is how the kids just told us tonight!!!

More from Twitterpated Work Shop on the Go

Here is the second layout using Twitterpated WOTG, I changed the B&T papers a little from the directions to work with the photo's I have, that is the beauty of our how to patterns, you can change them around so easily to fit the size and shape photo's you have to scrap, makes everything fast, easy and simple!

This the last layout of our hayride in the pumpkin patch this fall with Tyler, Sort of a crazy title I know, I was trying so hard to get a good photo of Tyler picking up a pumpkin, I kept asking him to pick up this one or that one, he finally turned to me and said, "Nanny I am not a crane you know", OK that is just to funny for a little 3 year old to come out with!

Twitterpated workshop on the go

I am finally getting the time to work on a few layouts, here is the first layout using Twitterpated workshops on the go. Our new Workshops On The Go are an OUTSTANDING value!! I cheated a little on this layout, I used the basic kit $29.95 but decided to opt out of all the extras just to see what I could come up with. I substituted buttons for the dimensional elements, but didn't have a sorbet button so I used my Buttoned Together stamp set (C1361) , then covered the impression with a clear button, also didn't have Hemp so I used Waxy Flax as a substitute, I did have plenty of brads, however they were on the other side of the room so I decided to use the tiny buttons from the stamp set. Last but not least, I only have one of our alphabet stamp sets, I can't justify buying more of them right now since I have so much invested in the Cricut, so I cut my title from the planitum school cartridge, If you don't have a cutting system then investing in a alphabet stamp set is a great money saver, no more wasted sticker sheets! I also used Liquid glass over the title to jazz it up a bit.

By the way, yes I know pumpkin is misspelled, after I glued it down I realized that one more P was left on the cutting mat, oh well anybody that knows me knows I can't spell anyway so it will have to do for now

Happy Halloween

We had family dinner at Shannon and Heather's last night, we decided to all hang out at their house for Trick or Treat, we only have 2 young families on our street now so I made sure and dropped of goddie bags for them before we left home. Tyler had a great time Trick or Treating and got enough candy to share with everyone! Shannon was not at all happy about his costume again this year, he thinks it should be a bit more masculine, can't say that I disagree but he was oh so cute in Nemo, I did pick up a Spider man costume for him to play with afterwards but it was way to small, he did manage to get into it but I will have to hit the clearance sale this week to find a better fit, looks like the boy will be needing a size 6, now I don't have to tell you that is very large for a baby who just turned 3!!
