Baby Boy scrapbook

Finally stopped procrastinating and got busy on one of the many baby scrapbooks I need to get done for all the upcoming spring babies. I have lots of layouts to share so this will take a few posts. I used a CTMH Caboddle level 2 kit along with the Cabbodle WOTG. I have added extra cardstock and used a few stamp sets that I have on hand to complete a total of 20 pages. I still have enough leftover paper to whip up a few cards, but that will have to wait, I need to get several baby girl albums together.
This is such a great gift for Mommies to be, even if they are srapbookers they LOVE having 20 completed layouts, all they need to do is pop the photo's in and do the journaling, for non scrapbookers they enjoy the fact that they can keep up with their favorite photo's and journaling all in one place. I include adhesive and a handmade card letting them know that if their photos don't match the paper just convert them to back and white and presto they will work perfect. I also note in pencil where each photo goes on the layouts, no guess work for Mom.
Working with kits makes creating an album like this so fast and simple, everything is in the bag! I don't have to dig around for the right cardstock and embellishments or run to the store to pick up something, each kit lists all the colors of cardstock used so when I need to add more cardstock all I do is grab it from my stash, no more matching required, love that especially on a cloudy day when the light isn't great.
Ya'll know I am not much on advertising on this blog or pushing products but really and truly take the time to try out a CTMH kit you will be glad you did!!

Still blooming on Saturday

Yesterday was so productive I amazed myself, not only did I get 2 additional layouts completed with flowers but I also got a great start on one of the many scrapbooks for babies gifts I need to get finished, seems like everyone is having a grandbaby this spring or summer.
The first layout posted is using the WOTG Felicity kit from CTMH, I know I have said it before but I can't tell you enough how much I love these kits. So far I have scrapbooked 7 layouts and 6 cards and still have lots of paper to keep going. I do end up adding some extra cardstock to make the kit stretch a bit more but what the heck card stock is cheap as dirt. On this layout I used Septembers stamp of the month for something a little different, if you have our spring cattie you may notice this layout was lifted from the front cover, I just changed it up a bit .
Back to my room of sin to see if I can complete one of the baby boy scrapbooks I am working on, I hope to post the layouts later today or tomorrow at the latest, it is turning out so stinkin cute, I know his Mommy will love having a ready made scrapbook when he arrives.

Friday's Flowers

I don't know about you but I think I could do another week or longer on flowers before I put a good dent in what I have.
I figured out a few years ago how I was accumulating so much product but I still couldn't help myself and stop buying. Before I decided to go into the scrapbooking world full time I worked in Corporate America, while the pay was good, the work was interesting and the people I worked with were nice enough it drained every ounce of energy I had in my body and soul. At lunch I would wonder over to Hobby Lobby or Michael's both were just a few blocks from the office and you can guess what I did. I didn't have the energy to work on scrapbooking but I could at least fill a void I had by purchasing more supplies, and man did I purchase, I had no idea how much I really did have until I decided I needed a change in lifestyle and left Corporate America 2 years ago. So now I am digging myself out of mounds of goodies!!
If you are in the same boat as I am then I hope you will continue on this journey to use it up and preserve your lifetime of memories for your children and the generations to come, this really is the good stuff!!!!
Back to my oldie but goodie photo's and loads of blooms just waiting for pages, I am also expecting a shipment from CTMH today, can't wait till I can get my hands on the box and dig in!!

Keep Blooming

Are you making a dent in your flower stash yet? I am still plugging away on flowers and photo's of our girls. I think I have finally gotten use to all the grainy, off color, basically bad pictures I have been working with for the past 2 months. It will seem a bit odd when I finally go back to current pictures, but that won't be for awhile yet, I still have plenty to work with of our girls.
I hit my 3 ring binders this week to use some of the girls professional photo's, this is part of the system I use to store awards, newspaper clippings, school pictures, 8x10 and such. This is so easy and cheap, take a regular school binder and add lots of page protectors for the office supply store, I just slip in all the items listed above, I label the binders with the girls names on the spine. When I get in the mood to do a one photo layout or maybe a team sports page I can easily flip through the binders and find what I want. If I never get around to scrapbook all that are in the binders I am fine with that, at least they are protected and all in one place. Give it a try!
Sorry about the layouts sometimes posting sidway's, it seems to be a hit or miss deal no matter what I try!! UGHHHH

Blooms continue

Have you dug out all your flowers an begun to make a dent yet? I would love to see your pages, take a photo and e-mail them to me I could use a little inspiration.
Why is it that we scrapbookers hoard so many of our supplies? Sometimes I forget what I even have, but many times I just save it for what if. I am over that thinking this year! It is time to use it up and make room for more, I refuse to buy more furniture storage so I need to make some room for the latest and greatest that is coming on the market this spring.
As you can tell by the photo's in these layouts I am still concentrating on our girls albums, I have been able to make a heck of a dent in their scrapbooks over the winter. I spent all of last Saturday just getting pages into scrapbooks, I had to wait until Hobby Lobby put page protectors on sale since I had over 300 pages to work with!!
With our newest Grand baby due in July, I am trying to stick with it, once baby girl Hines arrives I know I will be gaga over her and inspired to begin her scrapbooks.
Get your flowers out and get busy, lets see what you can get done this week, now I am off to the studio to find my own blooms to work with today! Scrap on

Flower Power Week

This week I challenge you and myself to use up the flowers we all have stashed in our supplies to complete layouts.
Here are the first pages I completed over the weekend along with cards. I used the Veranda WOTG from CTMH for the ones posted. I love, love, love this line of paper, I have already completed the level 1 and 2 kits using this line but the WOTG has been begging me to play. Our WOTG kits are an incredible value and give you lots of room to use your own creativity. The kits come with a full level 2 paper package, stamp set, filigree charms and a color instruction brochure to complete the projects; easy pesy!
I did purchase the best option and added 2 sheets of cardstock to stretch things out a bit and still have lots of leftovers to complete more pages.
Our WOTG kits are not listed in the catalog :( however you can purchase them on line from my store. Look under shop online, then on the left side of the page go to accessories, you will then need to scroll down to WOTG basic kits you will find 4 that are available at this time. I hope in the future that corp will include these great kits in our catalog I know they are a bit tricky to find on line, or you can just give me a call and I will get one out to you super fast
