And The Winners Are....

Carla and Rhonda who both guessed a table runner. To heck with choosing a winner you are both winners!! Please pick from the Halloween bunting or the soon to be finished Thankful bunting and let me know!!
DD# 1 wanted something simple and kid friendly. I took the time with each step to make sure it was what she wanted. The embroidery machine came in handy for the leaves. After my sewing machine shut down on me I had to go with plan B. I had intended too applique leaves using some of the leftover fabric, oh well.
My photo's are so bad today :(
I used a charm pack to make 1/2 Dresden plates for the turkeys. Check out the video here where I saw this idea. I was too lazy to cut out legs and feet so I just satin stitched some on.
OK, Carla and Rhonda here is the first bunting you can pick from.  The Thankful bunting is made with canvas, a favorite fabric of DD#1. The letters are all satin stitched on in black thread, the edges are pinked so they won't unravel (I hope) I will be making the bias tape from the black gingham strips shown in the photo. This bunting has been added to my cabin project container. I won't be able to mail it out until next week.
Or you can pick a Halloween bunting, just let know know by e-mail so I can get which one you want to you.
We had the kissing cousins today. Lots of outdoor play in hopes it would wear them down so I could get on to the baking for our mountain weekend.
They did slow down a bit in the afternoon after they insisted wearing their tutu's to play blocks with Papaw while I got cookies and chocolate covered nuts finished. The Chex Mix is in the oven now along with 2 loads of laundry.

Holy cow the little girls ran like wild horses all day. During nap time I was able to pack our clothes and finish up sorting what sewing projects I am taking along. I still need to finish up the laundry, the last 2 batches of Chex Mix along with paying bills. sigh....

We had a quick dinner of drive up tonight on our way to pick up my sewing machine. So happy to get her back. The technician has me on a 6 month maintenance routine now after they checked the hours and number of stitches I had logged in on her. That's $90.00 a visit, ouch!!

Off to finish up the last of my tasks before hitting the road in the morning, fresh Mountain air here we come!!!
